I love this and I hope they remake the white one. I’d also love a pretty pastel light blue or light yellow for spring. I love the length and the pockets. Could be useful to have a snap off hood. It’s great to dress up or dress down.
I like so many things about this jacket: the cut, washability, & versatility. However I don't like your misleading description where you say the body is 100% wool & make no mention of the recycled polyester pockets. If I wanted recycled, I'd buy from a rummage sale. If I wanted polyester, I'd buy from anywhere for less than $100. What ever possessed you to put in poly/cotton pockets when for a couple extra bucks, you could have put in 100% cotton or rayon or nylon? There is so little material involved. I plan to have the jacket retro-fitted with rayon pockets because I can't stand the feel of your polyester. If you'll make up another jacket with good pockets in a size small, I'll buy another one for my daughter. While you're at it, make me a medium & I'll save the alteration fees.
I really appreciate the style of this jacket-- it's a practical, stylish, warm. The one thing I would provide as feedback is that I dislike the pocket material. It's really stiff, not comfortable for the hands, and weirdly -noisy-. It's so annoying I would consider seeing a tailor to have it replaced. I understand Nau uses recycled fabrics and this must be some kind of recycled polyester. If there really is no substitute perhaps it's worth it... but there must be some organic cotton canvas or some gentler nylon they could find for pockets. Otherwise, great light wool coat!
I got the blue boiled wool shirt jacket in late fall, when it was too cool in Chicago to wear just that outdoors. But over an extended holiday trip I traveled in Europe and wondered what to take for England, Germany and Spain. Coll and rain in the forecast for some, and mild and sunny in the other. So I decided to take a raincoat (also Nau) and checked of the boiled wool jacket fits well underneath, and it does. So for milder rain, just the raincoat, for cold wether both, and in sunny Spain in the evenings juts the boiled wool jacket. Like another reviewer, I then washed it with mild detergent, 30 C, dried flat and came out perfectly. Looking forward to spring weather here and will get lots of good uses for this comfortable dressy wool jacket. For info, I'm nearly 5'8" 120 pounds and got the Small. It fits well in the shoulders but roomy enough in the body to wear any sweater I wish underneath.
