An essential element to our core ethos is giving back. We do this with our Partners for Change program, donating a portion of every sale to organizations we identify that create a lasting positive difference for the environment, the global economy and people in need.

In this spirit, while we were in Chicago, we had the opportunity to drop off apparel and accessories to the Connections for Abused Women and their Children (CAWC), a Chicago-based 501c3 organization committed to ending domestic violence. We're also matching 10% of the sales from the Chicago pop-up with our warmest, insulated winter coats and will be shipping those before the new year.

Connections for Abused Women and their Children (CAWC) uses a self-help, empowerment approach, they provide shelter for adults and children, counseling, advocacy, and a 24-hour hotline for people affected by domestic violence. CAWC works for social change through education, service collaboration, and institutional advocacy.

CAWC believes that all people have a right to violence-free lives. They believe that abusive acts are acts of power and control that the victim does not provoke, enjoy or deserve. They believe in holding perpetrators of abuse accountable for their actions. They believe that all people have the right to be treated with dignity and respect. And believe that victims of abuse can regain control of their lives through appropriate support services, information, and referral to community services.

We're so impressed with their work and facilities and were grateful for the chance to visit. If you're interested in volunteering, fulfilling their wishlist, or would like to join their Associate Board, click HERE. Together, we can make a safer world for adults and their children.
